We’re delighted to invite you to a workshop with Dr Lynne Souter-Anderson, exploring the therapeutic potential of working with clay. Lynne is a psychotherapist, supervisor and researcher whose career bridges education, ceramics, creative arts therapies and sandplay. She founded the Clay Therapy Community, is the author of three influential books on clay therapy, and has developed pioneering training programmes that attract practitioners worldwide.
This introductory workshop will begin with Lynne sharing her journey from working with clay as an art teacher to developing clay-based therapeutic approaches with children, adolescents and adults. The workshop will explore the many therapeutic benefits of clay play, modelling and sculpting across different settings, before moving into hands-on activities, ideas for practice, and suggestions on useful equipment. The workshop will also include case vignettes, practical demonstrations and time for discussion.
If you’d like to take part experientially, please bring along a couple of hand-sized lumps of clay.
Free for members / £30 for non-members
This promises to be a creative, practical workshop with plenty of ideas to take away for your own work.
