About You - please give a brief overview of your practice
I am an integrative psychotherapist (IACP), and artist. I naturally was drawn to working creatively with my clients when as fate would have it I was introduced to Ani de la Prida and the APCCA association workshops and certification. This stepping stone into the professional world of working with creative arts as a person-centred practitioner makes sense to me. My clients and I connect with the image work and very unique awareness moments happen. Opportunities arise for greater understanding. When working with empathy and acceptance we become more curious and self-led. And we can all benefit from these creative experiences. I work with clients who experience anxiety, depression, loss, pain, fear, stress, illness, family and relationship difficulties, co-dependency and crises.

About You - please give a brief overview of your practice
Hello, I am a person centred counsellor / psychotherapist. I have offered in person counselling to young people since 1998 in both secondary school (11 to 16 year olds) and in private practice settings. I am also a supervisor and enjoy supervising counsellors / psychotherapists who work with children and young people. I enjoy using Russian dolls, play doh and metaphor in my client work. I am always amazed in how creative arts help to regulate and express powerful thoughts and emotions. As part of my personal development during training, this creative way of working has allowed me to access buried painful emotions and safely express them. In 2022 I completed a certificate in person centred expressive arts therapy (Natalie Rogers model). In 2024, I completed the APCCA Certificate course. I am a practitioner member of APCCA and a member of the Person Centred Association. I am also a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor (Children & Young People) and BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor.

About You - please give a brief overview of your practice
My name is Louise and have worked as a qualified Person Centred Counsellor since 2008. I work with adults and young people both individually and within groups. I have worked within primary & secondary Mental Health services, educational pastoral services with young people, as well as a wide range of charitable organisations including Mind, Women's Aid and family Carers Centre. I offer a small private practice alongside online evening and weekend sessions face to face in Maldon Essex. I provide an alternative and gentle approach in connecting with difficult emotions through the use of creative materials. This way of exploring feelings can be very insightful, healing and you do not need any artistic skill's to create. I have a special interest in peri-natal mental health, young people's mental health and using art therapeutically. I offer a safe, empathic and non judgemental space upholding the belief that we all hold the opportunity to grow and fulfil our potential in life. Working in a non directive way can offer client's to become more open with their true authentic self, trusting their own inner radar and seek changes in their lives that feel right for them.

Madeleine Duncan-Booth

About You - please give a brief overview of your practice
I am an APCCA accredited person-centred therapeutic arts counsellor and supervisor. I offer a confidential, warm and welcoming space, where you can talk freely about your issues without judgement. Through building a trusting and collaborative relationship we can work together with the issues you bring and give you the opportunity to pause, breathe, reflect, and be heard. An opportunity which can bring about greater understanding and self-awareness, fresh perspective, and a stronger sense of self. I find that often we cannot find the words to really express the spectrum of emotions we are feeling. Therefore, I offer a creative way of working. Working creatively may mean using stones, shells, drawings, collage or objects to bring a different focus to our work which may enable us to gain alternative valuable insights that support your healing.
